Communication Skills

I believe that my communication skills are one of my best attributes. I feel that my athletic background provides me with unique attributes and skills that translated well to my internship as a financial representative and is why I had a lot of success. I am very well spoken and will talk to anyone about anything at any time. I feel that the ability to communicate honestly and having to be accountable to other people is something I have been taught my entire life through sports and will be beneficial in helping clients reach their financial goals. From my football experience, I have learned how to to be open and honest about circumstances and performance and how to not be afraid to give bad news or be critical of others when necessary.

Saying what needs to be said whether that is good or bad is required to be successful during a game and in financial advising. If we are on defense during a football game and are not communicating what we are doing and what the offense is doing, we will have very little success. From the perspective of financial advising, clients need to know exactly what their financial situation is and how to approach the management of their money.
